
The Polish Institute for Evidence Based Medicine (PIEBM) is a nonprofit organization established in 2003.
The Institute excels in developing medical publications, comprehensive digital resources, and continuing medical education (CME) programs for health care professionals and medical trainees.
Through effective knowledge translation we aim to transform complex scientific findings into accessible, practical information that enhances clinical decision-making. By bridging the gap between research and practice, we strive to improve the quality of health care and medical education globally.

The Jagiellonian University Medical College is the medical faculty of Poland's oldest university, which was founded in 1364 by King Casimir III the Great. Currently, JUMC comprises three faculties: Medicine, Pharmacy and Health Sciences, with a student population of 5500 from Poland and around the world. JUMC offerings include a long-cycle master's programs, first and second-cycle programs, prostgradulate programs, and Doctoral School. The part of the Faculty of Medicine is the School of Medicine in English conducting medicine and dentistry programs in English. In 2025, JUMC implemented nearly 1,000 research projects with a total value of PLN 413 million.

“Wieliczka” Salt Mine Health Resort
The “Wieliczka” Salt Mine Health Resort, located near Kraków, Poland, conducts pulmonary rehabilitation combined with climate therapy for patients with bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic inflammatory conditions of the upper respiratory tract (such as rhinitis, sinusitis, pharyngitis, and laryngitis), and allergies.
Treatments take place in underground salt chambers, where a stable microclimate—characterised by constant temperature, high humidity, and air saturated with salt particles—supports symptom reduction, improved exercise tolerance, and enhanced quality of life.

“Wieliczka” Salt Mine Health Resort
Respiratory rehabilitation delivered in a unique subterranean therapeutic environment.
A pulmonary centre, offering treatment in underground mine workings for patients with bronchial asthma and COPD, as well as chronic infections of the sinuses, nose, throat, and larynx and other allergic conditions.
It specialises in pulmonary rehabilitation aimed at reduction of dyspnea severity as well as improvement of the patient's exercise tolerance and quality of life.
The treatments take advantage of unique properties of the salt microclimate.
